To Puerto Princesa ( a detailed account ) part 2

En route back to the City, can't help but take a picture of the mountain where the underground river is located. down under.

At around 3:00 pm we were already back to our place. This time we already moved to a cheaper yet cozy pension house Kar wel Pension. The family room is just 1,200.00 for two, plus 200.00 per extra person all with breakfast. Since it was still early, I took the time to meet up with my old boardmate and at the same time to buy some pasalubong.

  Instead of having dinner at Badjao Seafront Restaurant, we went to Kinabutchs, another well known place in Puerto Princesa City.

day 3 is Honday Bay Island hopping day. We started the day with a breakfast at Kar wel Pension. Went to their Market to buy foods for our island hopping. We bought a kilo of my favorite Tulingan, half kilo of Bangus, half kilo prawns, one kilo rice and Soft drinks and water. En route to Honda Bay we dropped by a store to rent snorkling gear for 150.00. When we got to the port, we went straight ahead to rent a boat, signed the manifesto and paid environmental fee etc. The rate of your boat will depend on the Islands you intend to go to and the size of the boat. Ours we got for 1,200.00 which is a medium boat and can accommodate 6 pax. We choose 3 islands Pambato reef, Pandan Island and Snake Island.

Pambato reef is another protected area funded by the local government in cooperation with ABS CBN foundation and Deparment of tourism. Snorkling here was a fantastic experience. Entrance here is 50.00 (only for those who would swim).

Then we went to Pandan Island. Entrance here is 100.00 per pax plus the cottage rental (depending on the syle). Ours is 150.00 for a huge umbrella with chairs and a table. We took our lunch here in Pandan Island. We paid 60.00 cooking charge for our rice and the prawns, while our boatman took care of grilling the fishes. We continued swimming here under the scourging heat of the sun and  had some fun photo ops.

We left the place shortly after lunch off to Snake Island but were too tired to swim anymore, so we just passed by it, we also passed by LULI Island (lulubog, lilitaw island). At 4:00 pm, we were back to the pension house already. The rate for the trike ride back and forth honda bay is 600.00. 

Since we were already able to eat in Kinabuchs and we still had lots of foods from the Island hopping. We decided to stay in the pension house for dinner. Ma and me went to the city to buy few things and headed to  the baywalk to see it at night.

The next day, we had breakfast at our pension house, by 9:00 am we were already at the airport waiting for our ride back to Cebu.

*accommodation in go hotel is just promo rate, regular rate is around 1,300 per room. I was only able to book for one night promo.
