Day 1 and 2 Itinerary |
I was very excited for this trip that I have made so much research months before the actual travel date. I was able to come across a blog site that provides detailed information for a Do It Yourself tour that will be practical for a group of 4. So I took advantage of the information and created an Itinerary for our trip.
We arrived at Puerto Princesa Airport at exactly 11:00 am, 10 minutes earlier than our scheduled arrival. We went straight ahead to Ka lui (not kahlui, as what I've written in our IT) for lunch. It is more convenient to make prior reservation in Ka lui as this place is very well visited, we were lucky that Kar wel pension made the reservation for us.
At ka lui we ordered their Ka lui Special of the day, in their menu it says pwede 2, but trust me it can feed 4! just add extra rice and drinks.

At 4:00 pm we checked in at Go hotel and took our much needed rest after a very long day! We crashed out dinner in Viet ville because it's out of the way and we were told that there's nothing much to see or eat there. We can eat vietnamese food in the city proper if we want to. I guess that was a good decision because at 8:00 pm we were all too tired to get up, but we were hungry too, so we just got foods to go from the nearby Robinsons Palawan.

At around 6:30 am we were picked up by our tour guide for our Underground River Tour. This is not a do it yourself tour since you have to register atleast one month before your scheduled date with the City tourism, only 700 per day can be accommodated to enter the river. Through the kindness of our trike driver he facilitated our reservation with a travel agency in which we paid 1,500.00 per pax for everything (van, boat, lunch buffet). Excluding environmental fee which we paid for 40.00. Don't forget to bring your ID's on the trip. It took approximately 3 hours to get to Sabang where the port to the Underground river is. From the port we took a boat ride for 30 to 45 minutes to get to the underground river and another 45 minutes to navigate the river. At past 12 noon we were back to Sabang and had our sumptuous buffet lunch.
